Your Health in Safe Hands
Route du Fort Surgery has been caring for Jersey families from our home at the Lido Medical Centre for many years.
We offer the personal continuity of care that matters most: a doctor who knows you, and a team you can trust.
Our services cover everything from routine consultations and home visits to specialist clinics in women’s health, men’s health, menopause, pregnancy, weight management, sports medicine and travel vaccinations.
We’re open Monday to Saturday, and we will always strive to find a way to see urgent cases on the same day.
News
Disabled Access
The Lift is currently out of order at the Lido Medical Centre.
The lift at the Medical Centre is currently out of order. The building’s management have ordered replacement parts from the UK and they are being couriered over to the island, but we do not yet know when the lift will be back in action.
Until this time, we are offering telephone consultations and home visits to those patients who are unable to make it to the surgery without lift access. Please give us a call on 731 421 to book an appointment.
Thank you for your understanding.
Self-Service Check-in
Route du Fort are pleased to announce that we have a new self-service check-in system.
We appreciate that sometimes there is a bit of a queue at reception, and waiting to check-in can be a bit frustrating, especially if you are tight for time.
To make life easier, we have recently implemented a self-service check-in system, so that you can bypass the queue entirely. All you need to do is scan the QR code that you’ll find in the reception area or the waiting room – this will take you to a secure website where you can check-in yourself.
Please note that it is only by checking-in that our doctors will know that you are here and waiting. If they do not see that you have arrived on our systems, they will call in their next patient and you will not be seen.
Parking
We’ve been having some building works going on at the Lido Medical Centre.
Jersey X-Ray have had a new unit constructed on the side of the Medical Centre to house new diagnostic equipment. This is fantastic news for Islanders, as it will improve the quality of healthcare available. It has, however, involved some disruption around the site and, most crucially for our visitors, has temporarily reduced the number of parking spaces we have available.
When you come in to visit your doctor, please allow extra time to find somewhere to park. This situation should only go on for a short while – we hope to be back to business as usual soon.
Thank you for your understanding.
Staff Update
It is with great regret that we announce that Dr Green and Dr McMahon will be leaving the practice at the end of June.
After much consideration, they have made the decision to pursue their family lives and careers elsewhere.
They will be greatly missed by all of us here at Route du Fort, and we wish them every happiness in their next chapter.
If you are currently registered with either doctor, your care will continue as normal until their departure. We would encourage you to start thinking about which of our remaining GPs you would like to transfer to, but please wait until closer to the end of June before requesting a transfer, so that your current GP can continue to support you until then.
When you are ready, please speak to our reception team, who will be happy to help.
