I’m originally from Pakistan, but I’ve spent most of my life in the UK before making Jersey my home. I did my GP training from Mersey Deanery and worked in Cheshire. Being a general practitioner is more than just my profession — it’s something I genuinely love and feel deeply committed to. Caring for people, supporting families, and being part of their health journeys is both a privilege and a purpose for me.
I’m also a proud mum of three grown-up children, which means I occasionally suffer from a mild but persistent case of “empty nest syndrome” — usually treated with phone calls, surprise visits, and baking far too much cake for no particular reason.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active through weight training and hiking with friends, which helps balance the demands of a busy professional life. I love cooking and baking, especially when it brings people together around good food and conversation. I’m also an enthusiastic plant lover—my home is somewhere between a peaceful sanctuary and a slightly overambitious indoor jungle.
I like to think I bring warmth, dedication, and a sense of humour to both my personal and professional life, and I believe a little kindness—and sometimes a good cup of tea—can go a very long way.
